Upgraders for items can be found in many places, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.
In Season 3 the upgrade system was altered a bit, with some new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to that same item level will be less expensive, even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. Similarly, link web site of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests
Players have several choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you should know that Crests are only available to equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable modification is that crests have one purpose therefore it's essential to use them wisely. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
